Lifelong Learning

Learning beyond school years is often referred to, in the training industry, as ‘Lifelong learning’.

Lifelong learning is about us continuing to learn through our lives as adults, and this self-development aids our work opportunities, mental health, and is something that we naturally do as we progress through life.

We never stop learning.

Raising CPD Standards

The CPD Quality Collective works to help the general public by offering an independent service that provides a way to certify standards in adult learning using professional standards.

We help trainers to ensure that their training materials, courses and workshops meet certain standards by promoting and providing a CPD certification service that is supported by an advisory panel with over 100 years of teaching and training experience.

This collaborative group offers certification for trainers and for their course materials.

CPD is aimed at every person and is about raising standards and guiding and aiding learning. It is worth stating that CPD is not a qualification but about continued learning.

This can include anything from attending a conference/s, reading books, taking a training course, being mentored and so on. Find out more about the different types of CPD learning here.

Certifying Training Materials

The key elements on the 20 point checklist that we look for when certifying training materials with CPDQC in line with pedagogy and teaching standards include:

  • Does the training have clear aims and objectives?
  • Is the trainer provided with clear notes and suitable visuals?
  • Do the materials include activities and consider different learner types?
  • Are feedback forms and considerations included?
  • Are the materials suitable for the intended audience?

As a company providing certification internationally, we also take into consideration localisation and globalisation standards in CPD.

Feel free to contact us at any time to discuss getting your training course materials (printed or web-based) certified by CPDQC.
